Is the information in SearchScout accurate?
SearchScout compiles publicly available data from third-party sources and summarizes it with AI. It may be incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate. Always verify important details against original sources.
Can I use SearchScout for a background check, or to screen an employee or tenant?
No. SearchScout is not a Consumer Reporting Agency, and its information may not be used for employment, housing/tenancy, credit, or insurance decisions.
What's the difference between "SearchScout" and "Scout"?
SearchScout is the service and website where you start your search and subscribe. Scout is the mobile app (listed as "Scout: Deepsearch AI") where your full report opens.
What are credits?
Searches use credits — 1 credit = 1 search. Your subscription includes a set number of credits, and you can buy more if you need them.
How do I remove my own information from SearchScout results?
If your information appears in results and you want it removed, submit a request at searchscout.app/data-removal. We process verified requests within 30 days.
Do I need a password?
No. Scout uses passwordless login — just your email and a 6-digit code.
How do I cancel?
See "How do I cancel my subscription?" — the steps depend on whether you subscribed on the web, the App Store, or Google Play.
Is SearchScout available everywhere?
SearchScout is not available in some regions. Certain features are also restricted in specific jurisdictions. For details, see our Terms of Use.
